Letter from Saks 5th Avenue 1988
In 1988 was amazing to have Saks 5th Avenue interested in my t-shirt designs! In those days, you could write a letter and they’d write back, and if they liked your work, get a meeting! They said they’ve been looking for more whimsical motifs like mine, and have never seen anything like it, and were always looking for great new work! I don’t remember why the meeting never ended up happening, but I did end up selling my designs to Nordstrom!
